Never Land by Hediyah .B.A. Mehraj

i hear the wind
call my name
lift me up
and take me away

i ride it's back
through the stars
through the skies
and on the waves

towards a place, no one goes,
no one sees,
and no one knows.

across the seas,
by the breeze,
a mystical place,
of adventure and grace.

in the dreams,
of those so young,
crossing the minds,
of the youthful ones.

where the fairies dance,
and mermaids swim.
where pirates dwell
and lost boys sing.

where a ship of magic sails the seas,
and old James hook
as described in the book...

cries:"fetch long tom" "pan is back"
and Mr smee prepares the attack.

where Indians fight,
alongside boys,
and Tinkerbell takes flight,
with her bell of a voice.

darkness and wrath,
grumble within "insolent youth"
hook begins.
"dark and sinister man have at thee"
return pan,
astonishing Mr smee.

swords slash,blood spill,
fairy dust fills the deck
like ink and quill

victory comes, as victory does Ahoy!
cries a mischievousness boy.

and thus perishes James hook,
the cruel and wicked,
pirate crook.

lost boys rejoice,
Indians sing,
Tink takes off,
with a swish of her wing.

A ship or boat,
sprinkled with pixie- dust,
sails the sky,
like a shooting star, thrust.

it voyages back,
to the land of reality,
in a sparkling,
twilight city.

as the clock strikes midnight,
the dusty vessel,
disappears into my head,
and drops me onto my bed.

a light breeze pulls me wake,
the excitement of never-land,
starts to quake.

the wind that carried me,
rattles a window,
my dream clears,
 and never-land disappears.
